Here at Elvandia we have state of the art facilities that are
perfect for training, showing, or just having fun. Located on
350 acres of lush landscape, the school also offers hightly
praised academics and sports as well as great instructors. You
may bring your own horse or ride one our school horses that will
be assigned to you according to your riding ability and knowlage.
You are welcome to explore the trails and if you have any questions,
don't be afraid to ask! Welcome and have fun!
Weather
The season is mid summer
The temperature can be
Anywhere from 60 to
over 100 on the hot days.
Be sure to keep the heat
in mind while working your
horses. Show season's
in full swing, so the students
and instructors aren't getting
any break. On a nice day though
it's never a bad idea to hit the
trails for a relaxing day.

One Day....

The sixteen year old girl walked into the dim room. It was quiet and romantic. She sighed. Lindsey walked up to the counter, and behind it waited a cashier. "Hello, I would like a cup of sweet tea and a blueberry muffin please." Lindsey said sweetly. After getting her order Lindsey sat by a lit up table next to a large window looking over the streets outside. It was around 10 am and it was her first day in this strange town. She was lucky enough to find the cafe.

She sat looking outside and examining the scenery. It was a beautiful and kind town, and Lindsey thought much of it. She had never been in the country before, she had only lived in Denver until now. She noticed a few other people inside the cafe. Some where around her age. Since she had gotten here, Lindsey has had no chance to socialize. She sat and enjoyed her delights quietly.

Lauren walked calmly into the cafe, sketch book tucked under her arm. She walked up to the counter and ordered her usal hot lemon tea. Taking the steaming cup from the cashier she smiled and glanced around for a place to sit. The place was nearly empty this early in the morning. A younger girl that looked around Lauren's age. sat quietly at a table by herself. Feeling a tad bit reckess and not much like her self, Lauren decided to sit with her.

Taking a deep breath, Lauren walked over to the table and set her sketch book down. Nervosly keeping her eyes down, then finally looking up she said,

Is.. m..anyone sitting here?

Lindsey watched as a girl around her age entered the cafe and ordered lemon tea. Good choice, she said to herself. Then the girl came over to her which surprised Lindsey a lot. Normally people didn't accept newcomers but this other person seemed very nice. "Is.. m..anyone sitting here?" she said to Lindsey. "Oh no, you can sit here. My name's Lindsey Johnson. What's yours?" Lindsey was surprised as to how fast she was warming up to this stranger.

Lauren's fingers nervously played with the ring o her sketch book. Awaiting the girl's reply seemed to tke forever, when in reality it was very fast. When the words were finally out of her mouth, Lauren relaxed a lot. She set her teas down and pulled the chair out from under the table. Setling into she slid the pencil out from behind her ear. Her paint stained jeans and vintage tee shirt gave Lauren the look of an artist. Glancing out the window as a feeble ray of sun shine filtered through the window, Lauren smiled. Another clear sunny day. Perfect for a trail ride.

Deciding that a hasty relply would be polite, Lauren quickly became comfortable in her seat. Picking up a sugar packet from the abundance on the table, lauren ripped open the packet and watched the white crystals fall freely from their prison and into the steaminng hot tea cup. While the sugar fell, Lauren looked up hasitly and replyed ina friendly tone.

My name is Lauren. It's nice to meet you Lindsey. Come here often? I've never seen you before.

Lauren set the empty packet on the table and picked up the sthingy and stirred in the sweetening. After a few sconds she set it down and decided not to begin drawing just yet. It might seem rude. Instead she contented her hands with twirling the pencil in her hand. Almost absentmindily, as a small smiled played on her lips.

Lindsey smiled politely toward Lauren. "Yeah just got here this morning. I'm starting school at the Elvandia Riding Academy." Lindsey noticed the sketch book that Lauren held and the pencil she was messing around with. Lauren also had paint covered jeans. Lindsey smiled once more with admireation. "Are you an artist? I bet your really good." Lindsey thought herself to be some what of an artist though lately she hasn't had any time to draw or paint.
