Name:Bold-Hearted Soldier (Soldier)

Breed: Oldenburg

Pic: [image]

Time at ERA: 2 Months

Training: Stadium Jumping, Hunter/Jumper

Strenghts: Canter, Bold Jump, Forward Going

Faults: Gets Excitable, Kicks out at horses behind, Can get slightly cheeky

History: Soldier came from strong jumping and performing bloodlines. He was an excellent foal and easy to back. He was chosen from a group of colts to be used in a Show-Jumping team. He began to get very exciteable when they arrived at shows and events and often got rushy and cheeky and would play up. He was removed from the team because he was simply too exciteable and it would affect his performance in the ring. He was sold to a deal who used him for stud. He tended to get excited a lot, resulting in being scolded or kicked by a horse. But the scolding didn't effect him. He got pretty used to it and seemed to blank it. But the kicking and biting hurt him. He would refuse to leave his stall and was forced to go out to the pastures. He was sold once more and finally ended up at Elvandia, where they hope, he'll settle.

Sample Post: Soldier stood. Limbs in a perfect line. His auds forward and alert as he rared to go. Feeling the pressure of his master's hands pulling on the bit, Soldier snorted and tossed his cranium. Feeling the aid to go forward, Soldier took a leap forwards and began trotting around the arena. His flints, kicking up grains of sand as he swept around the arena. He snorted, his nares flared widely with excitement as he eyed a stablehand setting up a jump. He curved his nape and took long strides, practically eating up the ground as he approached it. At the corner, Soldier moved into a canter, feeling the aids of his master and a tap with his whip. Soldier despised the whip, he fleed from it everytime. He took powerful strides as they circled. Soldier felt the pressure of his rider telling him to slow and turn. Soldier refused and picked up a faster canter. His rider sitting deep, the black stallion could feel the aid to slowen as his rider put all his weight down. He threw his head and brayed loudly, jerking at the cold piece of metal in his mouth, banging against his incisors. Again Soldier eyed the jump and guessed he'd be tackling it as he turned towards it. His orbs focused on his take-off spot. He adjusted his stride and began to speed up. He snorted. Feeling the pressure from his rider's weight and contact. But he was wrong, his rider was wrong. He knew how many strides he needed and was determinded to prove it. Again, the black brute threw his cranium up and took big powerful strides, approaching the jump. His rider had given up and simply sat. Soldier nickered and lunged forward, taking off, he sprung off his hinds and surged into the air, neatly tucking his forelegs underneath him and clearing the jump. Preparing to land, Soldier stretched out his forelegs and then finally taking a recovery stride before cantering off, proud as punch. "That was amazing." Soldier flickered his auds in the direction of sound. It was another man standing in the centre of the arena. Soldier slowed to a trot and then to a walk, feeling his rider pull at his mouth. Soldier accepted and finally stopped, feeling his rider dismount.
